Dirk Simons becomes new Member of the Supervisory Board of PNE AG

The Supervisory Board of PNE AG has a new member. Dirk Simons (57) has taken over this function as of November 01, 2024. It is furthermore planned that he will be elected as the new Chairman at the next meeting of the Supervisory Board and will assume this office from January 01, 2025.

Dirk Simons has decades of international experience in the energy industry. He has successfully implemented projects at various companies in the renewable energy sector in recent years, including as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) on an interims basis of Mainstream Renewable Power and as Chief Transformation Officer (CTO) of Mabanaft. Dirk Simons was a member of the Executive Board of Npower from 2015 to 2019 as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and CFO. He demonstrated his expertise in various management positions within the RWE Group from 1995 to 2015.

Dirk Simons will succeed Marc van't Noordende, who has chaired the Supervisory Board since August 01, 2024. Marc van't Noordende took over this function on an interim basis from Per Hornung Pedersen, who has been performing the duties of CEO on an interim basis since this date following the departure of Markus Lesser.

Since November 1, 2024, the Supervisory Board has been consisting of Marc van't Noordende (Chairman), Christoph Oppenauer (Deputy Chairman), Roberta Benedetti, Alberto Donzelli, Marcel Egger, Dirk Simons and Dr Susanna Zapreva.
