Construction progress of the wind farm “Målarberget”

Good news reached us this week from Sweden: the construction of the “Målarberget” wind farm is progressing very well. 27 kilometers of road construction have been completed to about 80% and the overall construction progress is ahead of schedule. For the first time at WKN, the foundations for about 20 turbines will be rock anchored. Due to the rocky ground, various blasting operations were also carried out by BoP partner Svevia. The first concreting is planned for Easter week.

The wind farm encompasses 27 turbines of the four-megawatt class with a combined nominal output of 113 megawatts and is located approximately 150 kilometres north-west of Stockholm. In May 2019, the project rights were sold to the Israeli company Enlight Renewable Energy. It is expected that the wind farm will be commissioned in the fourth quarter of 2020.
